Foundation Tip: (No) Flashback Friday

It’s finally Friday! Many of you are going to be going out tonight and taking selfies and group pics and the last thing you want to be is Casper the Ghost in those captured memories. So, do not fear, Emily is here…to tell you how to not get that dreaded flashback from your makeup.

Let’s just say lesson learned….

Here are a few guidelines to follow:

1) avoid SPF in your makeup routine. Some argue that it should be okay in your skin care but I say just avoid it altogether for photography with ONE exception, the Hourglass Veil Primer has an SPF 15 but it’s been tried and tested that it’s okay.
2) minimize powder use, if any. Use a waterproof primer like Hourglass Veil Primer for a good base and setting spray to set once you’re done. If you have to use a powder to set, I would recommend the Smashbox Photo Set Pressed Powder
3) use makeup that was designed for photography (like Smashbox and Make Up For Ever). The MUFE HD Invisible Cover Foundation looks flawless in photos!

That’s it!
